APK for All Car Brands
The APK (Dutch vehicle inspection) is a yearly requirement for most cars. Only vehicles older than 30 years need to be inspected once every two years. Garage Wieman carries out APK inspections for all brands of passenger cars, commercial vehicles, and trucks up to 3500 kg. We are an RDW-certified APK inspection station and have all the necessary equipment to perform thorough and accurate inspections. This includes conducting the four-gas test for petrol engines and a soot measurement or diagnostic test for diesel engines.
What is checked during the APK inspection? In any case, the wheels, tires, brakes, and steering system. We inspect the bodywork for weak spots, test the lights, suspension, mirrors, and horn. We also check the exhaust system, locks, seat belts, and the condition of your windshield—essentially all safety-related components. Many people see the APK as a hassle that may lead to repairs and unexpected costs. But the APK is also crucial for your own safety and that of other road users.
All APK inspections at Garage Wieman are done by appointment. If your vehicle does not meet the inspection standards, we will clearly explain what needs to be fixed. If desired, we can carry out the necessary repairs and perform a re-inspection.
APK Truck Lift up to 3500 kg
We also conduct APK inspections for campers, commercial vehicles, and trucks. We have a truck lift for vehicles up to 3500 kg. We have extensive experience in APK inspections for cargo and commercial vehicles, including tail lift measurements and tachograph calibration. Additionally, we check vehicle registration and whether the vehicle meets current environmental regulations.
